New York, NY – A few new details have emerged as NYPD detectives continue to investigate the brutal murder of Williamsburg landlord Menachem Stark.
THE NEW YORK DAILY NEWS (http://nydn.us/1cGbMlz) is reporting that law enforcement officials say that while their investigation is moving forward, they’re still asking that any member of the public who may have any information pertaining to the case contact them.
“Our investigation is so broad right now. We haven’t narrowed it down to any one thing,” one law enforcement source said late on Sunday.
Officials said that Stark’s corpse was charred about the hands and torso, and that he also had hemorrhaging to his head and neck.
According to a video store manager, whose shop is located near Stark’s 333 Rutledge St. office, surveillance tape from his store caught some of the criminal activity, including the abductors’ car parked outside Stark’s office for 20 minutes before the kidnapping.
“It looked like someone (shot him with a Taser) because he suddenly buckled down,” the manager said.
The manager said cops initially viewed the footage on Thursday, then returned Sunday and confiscated it.
Sources also say detectives found a lone handcuff on the sidewalk outside Stark’s offices.
